The short version

  • Your voice recordings stay in your browser on your device. We never upload them.
  • We store only what your account needs: your email, optional name and your practice progress.
  • Nothing analyzes or scores your voice, and recordings are never used for anything else.
  • You can delete recordings at any time.

What is recorded

When you choose Start recording in a drill, your browser records audio from your microphone so you can listen back. Recording only starts when you press the button, and you can see when it is on.

Where recordings are stored

Recordings are saved in your browser’s storage on the device you used. They are not sent to our servers or to anyone else. This means they are available only on that device and browser. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.

How long recordings are kept

Practice takes are kept only while you are in a drill. Your three milestone recordings (Day 1, Day 14 and Day 30) are kept on your device until you delete them, so you can compare them later.

How to delete recordings

Open Progress and choose Delete next to any recording. Clearing site data for speakingdrill.com in your browser settings removes all of them at once.

Account data

To run your account we store:

This data is stored with our database provider, Supabase, in the European Union (Ireland). The website is hosted by Vercel.

Payments

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details; we never see or store your card number.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising cookies. If we add product analytics, it will record actions like “drill completed”, never the content of what you say, and this page will be updated first.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, progress and subscription records. Recordings on your device are removed when you clear your browser’s site data.
